Liesl Schillinger is a literary critic, writer and translator. She teaches journalism and criticism at the New School in New York City. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The New York Review of Books, The Atlantic and elsewhere. Her translation of Inès Cagnati’s Crazy Genie (New York Review Books) will be released in March 2026.
