Ben Miller is a writer and historian, and author of Bad Gays: A Homosexual History (Verso, 2022) and the forthcoming Out Of Fashion: Rudi Gernreich and the Liberation of Style (Norton, 2027). He holds a PhD in Global Intellectual History from the Freie Universität about primitivism and the self-invention of the white gay man, which won the 2024 Tiburtius Prize and is forthcoming as a monograph.
