Óscar Martínez (El Salvador, 1983) is editor-in-chief of elfaro.net and author of several books on migration and violence in Central America. He has received, among others, the Maria Moors Cabot Prize (2016), the International Press Freedom Award (2016) and the Hillman Prize (2028). He currently lives in exile in Mexico City.
